REPERTOIRE

The Sarah Sheppards' repertoire is traditionally composed mainly of spirituals and Gospel songs (most of these are arranged by the two Directors Oreste Palamara and Sergio Turra), protestant chorales, Christmas carols and music by Anglo-Saxon composers. Over the last few years the group has expanded its repertoire by adding Renaissance and Baroque music (with some pieces in vocalese), pieces of the classical period, the early twentieth century and contemporary ones, including some music composed by the two Directors. The Sarah Sheppards music is performed with voices (also solo voices), piano (or organ), double bass and drums.
